      <image:caption>I like to begin my design process with designing the Information Architecture of the site which focuses on organizing information that can and should be offered for the site. It also helps me structure the website as well as set up the beginning stages of web flow. To do this, I wrote down different information on sticky notes to card sort and group similar information. Next, I created user stories to better understand various user’s needs. I made a list of different users who would be visiting the site and defined what their goal for visiting the site would be. I then defined what actions they may want to take to accomplish their end goal. Referencing my Information Architecture, I would check to see if the user would in fact accomplish their goal. Lastly, I wrote a conclusion describing how the site would accomplish their goal. I repeated this process throughout multiple user stories adjusting the Information Architecture as needed.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Now that I knew who was using the site and the content that I needed I started wireframing the site. I knew that I wanted the quality of work and experience to speak for itself. To do this, I wanted to develop a site that was image heavy with complimentary text. I began with the homepage and wanted to open the site with an image, list the services, and show them how easy it was to achieve their custom project. Throughout the whole site I wanted to reiterate trust so I wanted to include an about section on the homepage. I knew I wanted to highlight his credentials and also reiterate his quality of work with a review. When designing the footer I wanted to include a contact form so there was always a consistent opportunity to start their project.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Now that I knew the how I wanted the brand to feel it was time to design the brand identity. I needed a logo family that was able to feel grounded, familiar, and masculine. I used color psychology and decided on a palette that was based on blue which created a sense of trust, tranquility, and familiarity.       <image:caption>Referencing my wireframes I knew that I wanted to feature a photo with some text to grab the user’s attention followed by a list of their services offered that are also clickable links to take you to their respective pages. I wanted to create a section to explain how Prudent’s process works. Most users won’t know how the process works I wanted them to feel included and to show them how easy it can be to get what they want Next I wanted to introduce the who and why of the company. The client made it clear they did not want to be on the website and that they wanted to focus on their experience. Users want to know who exactly is coming in to their space and if they can trust them. I wanted to reiterate the core values of the company as well as introduce the owner and highlight his credentials. Just to reiterate and validate his quality of work I wanted to include a review section so the user could trust his reputation.</image:caption>

Why was he in this industry and why did he want to start his own company? While discussing this project I made note of words that were consistently used and decided to start my design using word associations. This left very little margin for error. I had to be very organized as well as practical while planning my process. While having a site that reflects the brand is important, the functionality of the site is paramount.</image:caption>

As previously stated, I wanted to create a page that was organized and current but also provided a systematic layout for growth. Users are able to add items to their cart with a single click both on the home page and shop page. Items are designed with a quick view feature as well as an additional product page. Mandala’s story and pride in quality products were an important ___ to the brand. It was important for me to set aside a page to really showcase this. I wanted an easy, digestable layout that inspired the user and ended with a call to action.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>This brand was incredibly fun to work with. This was my first ecommerce site I designed and I without a doubt was learning and challenging myself each step of the way. Learning how to strategically set up a shop page was the most valuable lesson for me. I also really focused in perfecting design guides while intentionally breaking them to create balanced collage graphics. I learned how to jump in during the middle of a project, listen to client and our creative director’s vision and design a website that was representing all of our interpretations cohesively. After the site was designed I created UI and style guides to be sent to the developers. It is currently in the process of being built.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Next I wanted to address and resolve the other major pain points in Mandala’s current site. The store front was the most obvious choice. As previously stated, I wanted to create a page that was organized and current but also provided a systematic layout for growth. Users are able to add items to their cart with a single click both on the home page and shop page. Items are designed with a quick view feature as well as an additional product page.</image:caption>

Using brand elements to highlight the ingredients and packaging I designed each product page to give a feel for each individual product.       <image:caption>Next, I created wireframes. This lets me design the layout the site sets a direction as well as a visual reference for when I later design the UI. For Mandala, I wanted to create a look that showcased the successful products they already market while also leaving plenty of growing room. This brand was evolving and it was important to me to create a site that was able to evolve with it.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>This brand was incredibly fun to work with. Not only was this my first client site but my first e-commerce site I designed. I, without a doubt, was learning and challenging myself each step of the way. Learning how to strategically set up a shop page was the most valuable lesson for me. I also really focused on perfecting design guides to create balanced collage graphics. My motto for this project was: you have to learn the rules before you can successfully break the rules. I also really valued learning how to jump in during the middle of a project, listen to client and our creative director’s vision, adapt, and design a website that was representing all of our interpretations cohesively. Looking forward, I created UI and style guides to be sent to the developers. Mandala’s website is currently in the process of being built.</image:caption>

I reviewed previous meetings nots, gathered the clients needs then used my experience in UX to Card Sort or label and group similar content to decide what and how many pages this site requires. I then organized them categorically in a strategically structured diagram creating the Information Architecture for the site. This sets up the foundation for the user flow throughout the site.</image:caption>
