Harmony

September 2021

Harmony is a Holistic Dentistry that came to Maker + Made for a branding and website makeover. They were inspired by the PNW’s moody, fresh, woodland color tones that represented their holistic practices. After the creative team at Maker + Made perfectly curated their brand, it was time to dive in to their online presence.

Pick up and go

I was joining this design project just after the website design had begun. The site already had an Information Architecture, wireframes and was in the process of the first version when it had been sent to my task list. After familiarizing myself with the brand, the current design process, and reviewing meeting notes I continued my process researching Holistic Dentistry to better understand the clients needs and the needs of their clients.

Landing the Homepage

After I completed my research phase, I expanded their needs, sorted them and readdressed the current version’sInformation Architecture. I knew that the home page needed to communicate their brand philosophy, and act as directory for their clients. Anticipating the user’s needs I created sections to guide the user to meet the team, learn about their services, and their insurance and financial services.

Full site

After designing the homepage I knew the flow of the site. I knew I needed a staff page, a services page, a financial page, and finally a contact page.

I wanted to continually remind the sites users of Harmony’s free consulting by creating a call to action throughout each page.

Reflection and Looking Forward

Throughout this design process I learned how to join a team mid-design process and further develop a product. Harmony quickly approved the design and I was able to create the style and UI guide to send to the developer. This site is currently under development.
